Pune: A Tamil actress was arrested from a five-star hotel in this Maharashtra city for her involvement in prostitution, police said here Sunday.

Caroline Mariya, 22, was arrested from the hotel Saturday evening. Her manager and a film studio owner in Chennai M Rajkumar has also been arrested.

"Acting on a tip off, we laid a trap and sent a decoy customer following which she was arrested," said a police official.

Mariya played the lead role in Tamil movies like "Rain" and "Wadachalam" and has been a part of modelling assignments for several textile and diamond companies in Chennai.
