New Delhi: Congress on Friday launched a scathing attack on BJP president Nitin Gadkari over irrigation scam in Maharashtra.
Congress spokesperson Janardan Dwivedi raised question over BJP president Nitin Gadkari's letter to water resources minister PK Bansal over Gosekhurd irrigation project.
He alleged that Gadkari wrote a letter for contractors and not for region's development. "If Gadkari was advocating development and not interest of contractors, we would like to see his other letters for other projects," Dwivedi said.
Dwivedi also said that Gadkari has not only written a letter to PK Bansal but also to Pranab Mukherjee over irrigation project.
Dwivedi asked why Gadkari is so interested in Gosekhurd irrigation project and added that the project needs to be investigated.
