Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar will rejoin the Maharashtra Cabinet as deputy chief minister on Friday, days after he got a clean chit in the alleged irrigation scam in the state.
Pawar will be sworn-in 9:30 am on Friday by governor K Sankaranarayanan, a top Raj Bhavan official said.
Pawar, nephew of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, had quit in a huff on September 25 after his name cropped up in the alleged scam.
