Jaipur: Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Sunday created a fresh controversy when he alleged that both the BJP and the RSS are promoting Hindu terrorism in their training camps.
"After investigations we have seen that be it the BJP or the RSS, their training camps are promoting Hindu terrorism," he said. Shinde also alleged that the RSS was behind the Samjhauta Express, Meccca Masjid and Malegaon blasts. He said it was the Sangh which got all the bombs planted and later blamed it on the minorities.
Reacting quickly to the allegations made by the home minister, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said: "Home minister's statement is irresponsible and unfortunate. We condemn it."
Another BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, "Home minister Shinde's statement that BJP and RSS are promoting Hindu terrorism is condemnable and dangerous. The UPA government is trying to protect the real culprits and terrorists."
