Varanasi: Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Wednesday welcomed US action against Osama bin Laden but ended up calling the dead Al-Qaeda terrorist “Osama ji”. In his statement at a Congress press conference, Digvijay said "Osama ji had been living in Pakistan for so many years, how is it  possible that the Pakistani authorities could not locate him."

On Tuesday Singh had also made an inflammatory remark about Osama, saying that he should have been given a proper state burial.
