Nasa space shuttle Endeavour's final mission marks the first time a shuttle has ever been pictured while docked with the International Space Station.
The pictures were taken by astronaut Paolo Nespoli as he left the station in a Russian Soyuz capsule to return to Earth last month.
The vessels orbited 354km (220 miles) above Earth at 27,350kph.
It was the 25th mission for the Endeavour, with commander Mark E Kelly saying after touching down safely at the Kennedy Space Centre: "It's sad to see her land for the last time, but she really has a great legacy."
The youngest shuttle in the fleet, Endeavour took its maiden flight in 1992 and has played crucial roles in repairing the Hubble Space Telescope and building the International Space Station.
The shuttle will now be put on permanent display at the California Science Centre in Los Angeles.
