Sachin Tendulkar, who scored just 16 runs in two innings of the Mumbai Test, and Harbhajan Singh, who picked up only two wickets, were retained for the Test match.

A day after the Indian team was humiliated at the Wankhede stadium by 10 wickets, the Indian selectors decided to go with the same squad for the third Test. Watch: Tendulkar and Harbhajan retained for Kolkata Test

However, Ashok Dinda has been included in the squad in place of injured Umesh Yadav.

Despite the thrashing in the second Test in Mumbai, the Indian selectors made no major changes in the squad for the third Test against England.

Speculations were rife whether the selectors will come up with changes after the seniors in the team had failed to handle the England spinners.

The third Test begins from December 5 in Kolkata while the fourth Test will be played between December 13 and 17.
