The decision made by the Maharashtra ATS a few days ago to inadvertently pick up Delhi police informant Naqi Ahmed, during an ongoing operation to nab Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative Yasin Bhatkal, has embroiled it in yet another controversy. Although ATS sources claim they were unaware about the Delhi police operation, this has again brought to light the poor coordination between investigating agencies in India. DNA showcases some of the instances wherein police operations in different states were jeopardised after the local police intervened and refused to extend support.
