Delhi: An order, reserved three years ago by the Supreme Court, on the CBI investigation into the assets of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and his family continues to remain pending even as one of the judges on the Bench, Justice Cyriac Joseph, had his last official sitting on Friday. He will retire on Saturday. Justice Joseph was part of the Bench led by Justice Altamas Kabir, which had on February 10, 2009 reserved for final orders interim applications filed by the CBI and petitioner Vishwanath Chaturvedi. It was on Chaturvedi's petition that the court had ordered a CBI probe into allegations of disproportionate assets against Mulayam and his family members in March 2007.
